More tough news for summer steelhead this year as the John Day River will close to all steelhead fishing in a few days similar to the closures on the Deschutes and North Umpqua Rivers. For summer steelhead, this seems to be a common occurrence in recent years and definitely cause for concern. More information can be found here.
